The majority of campsites are set to reopen this summer – but some without toilet and shower facilities. The Camping and Caravanning Club last week announced they hope to reopen the majority of campsites on July 4. The organisation, which has more than sites in the UK, is planning a phased return starting with England. An extensive list of social distancing measures have been introduced , but only particular sites will be able to open with toilet and shower block facilities.
Social distancing rules include reducing the number of campers on site, a contactless check-in, and a ban on group bookings. These are all the sites reopening for their season, including Delamere Forest, Cheshire, along with a number of campsites in the Lake District.
